Anza Star Party, February 2004

For those who might be afraid you missed something by not showing up at Anza for the February Star Party, here is a representative scene (others are in the photo album). The two hard-working members shown to the side of Anza House, who were delving into the non-functional furnace instead of running around with a camera, were Don Lynn and Stephen Eubanks. It was sprinkling as well as getting dark (and cold) as they were closing things up, and started raining with enthusiasm by around 6:30. Don and Steve, by the way, both brought telescopes “just in case” I was less optimistic and just brought binoculars.

Go-To Telescope SIG Feb. ’04 meeting Summary

This year the ETX Special Interest Group (SIG) expanded to include all Go-To telescopes, and changed its name to the GO-TO SIG. We had the first meeting of the year on 2/16/04 in Placentia. This is the story.
