Additional Information M41 is a large (~1/2 degree wide), bright cluster. It is easy to find in binoculars, about 4 degrees south of Sirius. The "tails" below the two brightest stars are caused by blooming; the brightest stars also have diffraction spikes. 5-sec exposure, 20 Nov 1995, 12:56 UT.
