Additional Information M108 is an interesting object worthy of attention, expecially in northerly latitudes, where it may be circumpolar. Dark dust clouds and bright knots give it a distinctly mottled appearance, not unlike the better known (but poorly placed for northerly observers) spiral galaxy NGC 253.
