Computer Artist Opening at Griffith Observatory

Computer Artist, Part-time

The Griffith Observatory has an immediate opening for a part-time computer artist to help produce models, texture maps, and animation for the next planetarium show. Expertise in Photoshop and at least one 3D program, coupled with a willingness to learn Maya, Cinema 4D, After Effects and Digital Fusion, are required. The applicant should be comfortable in a Mac/Windows environment and be well-organized.

The position is for 20 hours a week between 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. on weekdays, at the Observatory Satellite adjacent to the Los Angeles Zoo in Griffith Park. Hours are flexible. Payment is $12.63 per hour without benefits.
