BSC 06/17/06 star party

It was a warm t-shirt night at Black Star Canyon this past Saturday evening and we had about 25 cars. Mars & Saturn showed together in my ETX125 using a 40mm eyepiece. The International Space Station was bright as it zipped across the sky and through the Big Dipper. Jupiter was bright and moon Calisto snuck out from behind the planet as the night got later.

Some saw a clear Ring Nebula and double star Alberio looked great in the summer triangle. Other deep sky objects were showing up quite nice like the M13 star cluster, etc. I was still in just a t-shirt when I locked the gate after midnight.
