I decided to go back to college at 32 for astrophysics and with hard work and determination have already had the honor of finishing two programs at JPL / NASA.

ASTROIMAGE SIG - NEW MEETING DATE

The meetings of the AstroImage SIG have been moved to the first Wednesdays of the month, so the September meeting is on 9/6/17. It will be at the Digital Media Center, 1300 S. Bristol Ave., Santa Ana, CA 92704, in the "Multipurpose Room." Please contact Alan Smallbone for more information.

TEMPORARY NEW LOCATION FOR 9/1/17 BEGINNERS CLASS

The 9/1/17 session of the Beginners Astronomy Class will meet at the Digital Media Center, 1300 S. Bristol Ave., Santa Ana, CA 92704, in the "Multipurpose Room," which is located on the first floor, south end of the building. Enter the main lobby, turn left to go down the hallway, and the class will be in the second room on the left. There is a small sign on the wall next to the door that says "Multipurpose Room." There is plenty of free parking outside the building and across Bristol from the building. The September session of the Beginners Class is an overview of astronomy, including what types of objects can be seen in the night sky. We will return to our usual location at the Heritage Museum for the October session of the class.
