March 2017 President's Message
Barbara Toy |
Changes on the OCA Board, a retrospective of some of Steve Short's accomplishments as President, board member, Black Star Canyon Coordinator, and other areas, a tribute to Steve Condrey in his 14th year as editor of the Sirius Astronomer, and a summary of what happened with the water at Anza.

New Trustee
Barbara Toy |
I am very pleased to announce that the Board has selected Doug Millar to fill the vacant Trustee position on the Board for 2017. This means that we will have a full Board again for the next Board meeting, which is on March 5, 2017, and we are looking forward to having Doug join us then.

Many thanks to John Hoot and William Daly for volunteering for the position, though William had to withdraw his candidacy before the vote because of other commitments. We are hoping they will both continue to be involved in the club and interested in its management, and that we may see either or both of them on the Board at some point in the future.

Barbara Toy
OCA President
