Help Needed

OCA members. If you have been wondering how and when you can pitch in and help out with projects in the club, your wait is over. Listed below are some of the current projects that are in need of volunteers. Read on, and then give the contact person listed under each project a call or send them an email.

Observatory Roof Renovation

1. Renovation of south & east sides of roof Planned for Oct 1st (Star Party weekend). This needs to be done before the rainy season starts.
2. Replacement of existing roof with new, metal roll-off structure. Demolition & new construction planned for Spring ’06. Thank You to Gary Schones & Jim Hannum for taking on the project-management for this.

Anza House Repairs

1. Roof. Replace asphalt shingles and patch cracks along seams. Work party needs 2-4 people for Saturday Oct 1.
2. WeatherCam needs a replacement platform and repair or replace stainless steel mirror. Thank You to Charlie Oostdyk for ongoing work to get/keep the Weather station operational!
