Cloudy night, busted star party? No way!
This is the proposed agenda for the Board meeting this coming Sunday. All members are welcome to attend, but please notify Bob Buchheim or me in advance if you plan to come, for security reasons.
The agenda is subject to change – please check back later to see if there are any modifications.
Nice dark night even with 1st Qtr moon
Warm, clear and about 30 cars came out Saturday evening…
The OCA Board of Trustees will have its regular meeting on Sunday, September 17 at 5:30 p.m. (potluck at 5:00). To see the proposed agenda, please click the title to this article. For more information, or if you want to attend the meeting, please contact Barbara Toy, 714/606-1825, btoy@cox.net.
Join us for a Visitor Night at the UCI Obsevatory, where we will be viewing Andromeda, Jupiter, and the Ring Nebula. Free. Slide show presented on “Dark Matter and Galaxies.”
Black Star Canyon was clear and warm…
Don Lynn and Jim Hannum have repaired the pump at the well on our Anza property, and the tank should be full by the time people arrive for the star party. That means we should have our normal supply of running water tonight, as well as good conditions for viewing, so come on out for the star party!

Cloudy night at Black Star…but we had fun anyway.
Join us in August at the UCI Observatory for a night out under the stars, seeing the planet Jupiter and the Perseid Meteor Shower. Also presented is a slide show on the history of the Solar System.
