Warmest BSC star party ever…and the sky was clear all evening!
As a reminder – the September general meeting had to be moved to the first Friday of September, 9/5/08. As usual, the formal part of the meeting starts at 7:30, but come early to get a good seat, check out the library, meet up with other members, and get the evening off to a good start! We meet in the Irvine Auditorium in the Hashinger Science Building at Chapman University, which is near Center St. a couple buildings north of Palm in Orange.
See you there!
This is the last summer star party at Black Star Canyon…come on out on a new moon night when it will be warm & dark!
Discount tickets for the Pacific Astronomy and Telescope Show will be available this Friday, August 8, 2008 at the general meeting.
What a wonderful warm evening we had to observe objects in the dark night sky at nearby Black Star Canyon.
Come on out to the nearby mid-summer OCA star party and have some fun on another warm clear evening
Please click on the title to see the current version (rev. 7/17) of the proposed agenda for the meeting of the OCA Board of Trustees on 7/20/08 at Lockheed Martin in Irvine. All members are welcome to attend, but if you plan to come, please notify Bob Buchheim or Barbara Toy in advance. Please also check back for any additional changes that may be made in the agenda before the meeting.
It was warm, clear enough to see the Milky Way and we had 29 cars come out.
What better way to spend a warm clear Saturday evening than out at the nearby Black Star Canyon star party with fellow OCA astronomers?!!!
