Join us in the beautiful San Diego County Mountains on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 1, 2 and 3, 2008. Located high in the mountains just 35 miles east of the San Diego Wild Animal Park via Hwy 78 east, near the Historic Gold Rush Community of Julian, CA.
We had 30 cars come out to BSC this past Saturday on a nice, dark, clear evening.
Should be another warm Black Star Canyon star party under a clear, moonless 3rd quarter night.
Our next Board meeting is this coming Sunday, 5/4/08 (5:00 for the potluck, 5:30 for the meeting). Please click the title of this article to see the proposed agenda – it may change, so please check back. All members are welcome to attend, but if you plan to attend, please contact Bob Buchheim or Barbara Toy in advance.

Looks like this Saturday evening should be warm and clear…perfect for an OCA star party!
Clouds were bad…party was cancelled after a couple hours wait.
We have a 3rd quarter moon night for this Saturday’s BSC star party. That means no moon and a dark sky for seeing faint nebulas, comets, galaxies, etc.
