We had this year’s largest turn out of people at the Black Star Canyon star party last Saturday. The weather was warm and skies were pretty clear most of the time and as usual, we had a lot of fun.

Some thought they could make out the Milky Way and we could even see the Andromeda Galaxcy with the naked eye which indicates good seeing at Black Star.

We also had a number of guests from the Nature Conservancy along with a docent (Brad) who brought out his Meade ETX80. I want to thank all the members that showed the guests interesting objects in their telescopes after I gave a night sky tour.
