The small, low cost Raspberry Pi computer provides computing power and network connectivity that not too long ago would have been considered a “super computer.” Open Source software, the Internet of Things, and the ubiquitous mobile phone will also have a huge effect on how we do astronomy and astroimaging.
I will be giving a status report of my transition to a Pi-based telescope system, replacing an expensive tangle and cables with a single power cord and a single PI-based system controlling imaging, focusing, alignment, scheduling, observatory control, plate solving, and more. (A free download of the system is available at https://www.indilib.org/about/ekos.html and can be run against simulators)
