The annual OCA election cycle has begun, to select the Officers and Trustees who will guide the club and manage its business affairs during
2006. If you would like to participate in the club’s leadership, or know someone who is willing and interested, nominations are being accepted until the close of the December 9th OCA meeting.

Join us and the Orange County chapter of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Society, as Professor Elizabeth Barton, UCI, tells us about explorations of the light and dark Universe. Come just for the speaker at 8 PM, or for Wine and Dinner with the chapter at 7 PM.
Join Astronaut Sally Ride as she hosts a science festival at UC Irvine on Sunday, November 13, to interest girls and young women in science careers.
OCA will have a booth at the Street Fair portion of the Festival; volunteers need to arrive by around 10:30.
