SCAE (Southern California Astronomy Expo)

Southern California Astronomy Expo, OPT's big astronomy expo, will be held on August 13th and 20th. The following speakers are scheduled for the first Saturday (August 13th):

• David Levy will be speaking twice.
• Steve Edberg will be there.
• Gary Palmer will speak about solar imaging (he was a big hit for Astronomy Day).
• Tim Cann will talk about imaging with a digital SLR.
• Dan Phillips, who was just published big time in Astronomy magazine, will talk about CCD work.

Everything is free, including a pizza lunch.

The second weekend OPT will bring in over a dozen manufacturers to demonstrate their products, answer questions, etc. There will also be a BIG giveaway in the early evening.
