Dennis Mammana, internationally known astrophotographer and amateur astronomer, is the featured speaker at the May meeting of the Leisure World Astronomy Club on May 25, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. OCA members and other visitors are welcome. Here are the details...

Mr. Mammana’s talk is titled "Seven Wonders of the Cosmos," and will undoubtedly feature some of his own images.  This is a wonderful opportunity to see one of the "greats" in astroimaging in person, and also to get to know the people in a companion club.  The cost is only $2.00 for non-members of the LWAC.  If you’re interested, please contact Lennie Sutherland, president of LVAC, so she can put your name on the list for the guard at the gate.  Her contact info: 949/583-7978; lennie@lwcal.org.

The meeting will be in Clubhouse 3, Dining Room 2, just inside Gate 3 to Leisure World in Lake Forest.  The directions are:

Take Interstate 5 to Bake Exit to Lake Forest

Turn Right on Lake Forest & go to Moulton (which is Irvine Center Dr. before Lake Forest)

Turn Left on Moulton, go past El Toro & look for Gate 3 on the left

Turn left at Gate 3 (the guard should have your name if you contact Lennie before the meeting); go through the gate

Clubhouse 3 will be in front of you; turn left into the parking area and park anyplace

Come to Dining Room 2 (on the left)
